What should you pay attention to with rubber laser engraving for stamps?

Rubber laser engraving for stamps produces a large amount of dust. This dust must be extracted and filtered reliably and efficiently by an extraction system. In particular, all dust-sensitive components, such as the lens, mirrors, electronics, motors and axles, must be protected against this dust by means of an extraction system. For laser engraving of stamp rubber, the text must be mirrored and inverted.

Is it also possible to laser cut rubber with the CO2 laser?

Absolute! The laser software offers various options for automatic cutting: round, square or an optimized shape. On request it is also possible to cut bridges, where the cutting lines are interrupted by defined points. Cutting foam rubber can also be done perfectly with a CO2 laser machine, ideal for making suitcase interiors.

Processing (silicone) rubber with CO2 laser machines

For laser cutting of rubber, wood, leather and a large number of plastics you have a CO2 laser machine required. Important things to keep in mind are: what is the maximum size of the object that I want to cut out, that determines the size of your worktop and what is the maximum thickness that has to be cut that determines the laser power you need.
