Wood laser engraving, whether untreated, painted or lacquered, gives a very nice effect. This is easy to use to engrave drawings or texts, but can also be used to engrave your company logo in the wood. The depth of the laser engraving depends on the hardness of the wood and the laser power used.

CO2 laser for laser engraving of wood

A CO2 laser is the perfect tool for laser engraving of wood. Below are a number of examples. In the first example in the white washed wood a very low laser power was used, so that the white washed layer is removed, but not the wood becomes dark (burned). In the example with the tree more power is used, so that the dark edges create more contrast. These examples are based on vector files, but it is also possible to engrave complete photos in wood.
