Industrial laser cutting of metal without finishing
MetaQuip's FC4020 fiber laser metal cutting machine cuts effortlessly through a large number of metals such as carbon steel, stainless steel, brass plate and other metals. The edges are super tight, so that in most cases no further finishing is necessary. The MQ FC4020 has a working surface of 400 x 200 cm and is available with laser power up to 10k Watt.

Metal laser cutters
The FC4020 is a high-end metal laser cutting machine, designed for production environments to cut at high speed with great precision. Key components are predominantly German / European, which means that spare parts can be delivered quickly in the future. The TwinCad 2.0 control software is from the German company Beckhoff. The advantage of this is that this software works logically and stably, service and support are well organized and there are room training options for operators in your own language.
Metal laser cutters such as the FC3015 cut metal with ultimate precision without further processing. These machines can qualitatively compete with metal cutters from major German parties, but at a significantly lower purchase cost and also during production, these costs remain considerably lower due to the high reliability. Fiber lasers transfer the laser power directly to the material, which means minimal maintenance is required, no adjustment resulting in high reliability. The frame of the F4020 is extremely stiff and stable, making cutting at high speeds possible without any problems. Thanks to the intelligent extraction system, metal dust and vapor are immediately and adequately extracted.

Carbon steel, stainless steel (stainless steel), aluminum, titanium, galvanized steel, galvanized sheet, copper alloys and many other metals. The thickness of the metal to be cut depends on the laser power and the cutting gas used. A higher laser power is required for cutting aluminum or copper. Fully automatic height sensor
The MQ-FC1390 is equipped with a fully automatic height sensor. This ensures that the laser head always perfectly follows the metal even when the material is not completely flat. This guarantees a perfect cutting result. The height sensor samples the height 1000x per second and adjusts the height with a static accuracy of 10 micrometers (50um dynamic response accuracy) within a range of 0-25mm. The focus setting is set per material.
Focus setting manually or automatically
MetaQuip has the choice of 2 types of laser cutting heads for the fiber laser machine series:
- Manual focus setting of the lens
- Automatic focus setting of the lens
Manual focus setting
For lower laser power from 500 to 1kW a manual focus setting is available. The focus height should only be set after a change of metal type. With lower laser power, thin sheet metal is usually cut where a lower adjustment accuracy is required and therefore a manual focus adjustment can be used perfectly here.
Automatic focus setting
At higher laser powers, typically above 1kW, with which thicker metals are cut, MetaQuip delivers an automatic focus setting of the lens as standard. The range of the thickness of the materials to be cut is larger, so that changes in the focus setting have to be made more often. This means that the focus setting must not only be set after changing the metal type, but also between different material thicknesses. The automatic focus setting but the operation simpler and less error prone.
It is always possible, even at lower laser powers, to install an automatic focus laser head!
Both laser heads have the same automatic height sensor system that ensures that the laser follows the material perfectly during cutting, thus guaranteeing a stable focus height during the cutting process.
Air extraction and filtering
The closed cabin is equipped with extraction at the top and bottom. This keeps dust and smoke generated by the laser cutting of metal completely insulated in the machine. Oil fumes can be discharged directly via the top suction while the metal fumes from the cutting are discharged through the bottom suction. This reduces the concentration of hazardous fumes to a minimum while working. The operator does not have to enter the laser cutting space during the process and can, after processing, bring the material out by changing the bed.
The metal fumes that are released during laser cutting of metals are harmful to health. A good air exhaust and filter installation is therefore necessary. The FC4020 has a built-in intelligent extraction system that makes it possible to extract metal dust directly and adequately. MetaQuip can advise and provide you with a suitable solution such as the BOFA AD2000 or AD4000. Bofa is a European brand that values quality. Their unique design of the coarse dust filter ensures a huge filter surface which means the filter capacity.

The FC4020 uses TwinCad 2.0 from the German company Beckhoff. The user-friendly software and controller make laser cutting possible at high speeds. To maintain stable and good production, the quality of the guides is of great importance. In order not to compromise here, we opted for Rexroth guides from Germany, instead of cheaper alternatives. In addition to good quality guidance, Rexroth can provide local service immediately. If parts need to be replaced, they can always be delivered in the short term. To continuously provide the machine with good lubrication, MetaQuip's fiber laser machine is equipped with an automatic lubricator. This means that the customer has to check the oil supply in the lubricator at a central location. It is therefore not necessary to lubricate the machine in all kinds of places, which saves time and can therefore no longer be forgotten.
The machine is equipped with an SMC controller for gas supply and control. SMC is an international top brand with local service and quality. The controller is able to directly adjust the gas supply digitally and has a good repeatability of settings to enable rapid switching between materials.

CE certification & laser safety
The FC4020 is a closed machine from laserkasse 3R, therefore safe for the operator at all times. The machine is CE certified and meets the applicable machine guidelines.
MetaQuip is committed to safety. The machine is completely closed so that light cannot go outside and reduces the risk of laser radiation and offers safer protection for the operator. The doors of the machine are equipped with interlock closures, so that the laser source is switched off immediately when a door is opened. In order to have a good idea of the work of the machine during cutting, cameras have therefore been placed in the machine. Immediately above the controller software is a second monitor that immediately displays live images, giving the operator a view of all parts of the cutting field. As a result, windows are not necessary, which further reduces the risk of emerging laser light.
