Single or Double Wobble Laser Head
MetaQuip Laser welders come with a single or double wobble laser head.
A single wobble is suitable for welders working with simple welds and situations where a narrow weld is sufficient, such as when joining thin metals or making decorative welds.
At a double wobble makes the laser beam make two different oscillation movements (for example both horizontal and vertical or in complex patterns). This ensures wider and deeper integrated weld seams. The wobble can be adjusted from 0.1 -5.0mm width.
Advantages of a double wobble:
- Width and depth: Can create wider weld seams, ideal for thicker materials or uneven surfaces.
- Flexibility: Suitable for more complex welds, such as uneven joints or larger tolerance differences between materials.
- Stronger connections: The double oscillation provides improved adhesion, resulting in stronger welds.
- Less distortion: The wider energy distribution reduces the risk of material deformation.
- Versatility: Applicable to a wider range of materials and welding methods, such as deep welds or complex geometries.

These machines are suitable for welding carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, copper and alloys.
Which welding wire is used for different metals?
• Buyer: Copper welding wire
• Stainless steel: Stainless steel welding wire
• Aluminum: Aluminum welding wire
• Titanium: Titanium welding wire
These wires provide a strong, durable weld.
What thicknesses of welding wire can I use?
Typically 0.8mm, 1.0mm, 1.2mm or 1.4mm wires are used. Some applications may require 1.6mm.
What auxiliary gases are used during welding?
The most commonly used gases are nitrogen (N₂) and argon (Ar), which provide a protective atmosphere and a high-quality weld.
How thick can the metals be that I can weld with these machines?
Depending on the laser power, you can weld metals with thicknesses ranging from a few millimeters to about 10 mm.
What are the advantages of a handheld fiber laser welder over traditional welding methods?
