The open fiber laser metal engraving machine LITE is MetaQuip's entry-level fiber laser for the engraving and marking of a large number of metals. An affordable solution with all basic functions and suitable for a wide range of engraving and marking applications. This fiber laser machine makes no concessions quality, so the same high-quality laser source as in our larger fiber lasers and supplied with industrial air filter whereby metal vapors are extracted directly. This is a laser class 4 product and comes complete with EzCAD laser software.

MetaQuip's LITE open fiber laser metal engraving machine is used for engraving and marking metals including silver, gold, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, alloys and many other metals. This machine engraves and marks these metals quickly and with extremely high precision and superb engraving quality. The fiber laser LITE has the same long life and reliability as MetaQuip's other fiber lasers. The LITE fiber laser is an open fiber laser (laser class 4) where wearing approved laser safety glasses is mandatory (laser safety glasses are supplied as standard). This small machine is easy to place on a table or desk and makes little noise. This machine is always supplied with an industrial air filter for direct extraction and filtering of released metal vapors, so that the operator is never exposed to these vapors.

Fiber lasers are used for the laser engraving and marking of metal parts, jewelery, watches, mobile phones. Fast (usually within 1-2 seconds) and indelible placing text, image, serial number, barcode or QR code.

Laser power & work surface

MetaQuip supplies the LITE fiber laser engraving machines with laser powers of 20 or 30 Watt. The LITE fiber laser engraving machine comes with a lens that gives you a working surface of 100 x 100mm. Optionally, a lens is available for a work surface of 70 x 70mm (with higher engraving resolution).

Operation

This LITE fiber laser consists of a control box in which the laser source is also located. This is connected via an optical fiber to the fiber laser head that is placed on the tripod. With this tripod, the correct focus length can be set (the distance between the lens and the workpiece). The machine is controlled by a computer on which the laser software is installed. We can also optionally supply this computer.

In the laser head is an XY mirror that scans the surface with a high frequency. This XY mirror is completely sealed off from the outside world and is the only moving part in this machine. This guarantees the high reliability and long life of this machine.

High precision and resolution

Fiber lasers operate at a wavelength of 1064nm. This wavelength is perfectly suited for the engraving of (precious) metals, aluminum and stainless steel. The used wavelength of 1064nm is 10x smaller than the 10.6um of a CO2 laser. As a result, a fiber laser has a much smaller spot size than a CO2 laser, so that even the finest details can be engraved effortlessly with extremely high precision and resolution.

User-friendly software

MetaQuip fiber lasers are easy to operate. With the supplied software it is child's play to quickly engrave your workpiece. You can use this software to create a design yourself, enter text or import a vector design (logo) from other design packages such as Solidworks, Adobe Illustrator or other (vector) design programs. The software supports importing graphic image formats such as Coreldraw, AutoCAD, Photoshop and AI, PLT, PCX, DXF, BMP, SHX or TTF. This makes it easy to create an engraving of an image or photo. A Dutch manual is supplied with the laser software.

Maintenance free

Fiber lasers are virtually maintenance free. In combination with the long service life and high engraving speed, this type of machine is ideal for use in almost any working environment. Depending on the material to be engraved, toxic gases and small (metal) dust particles may be released when working with fiber lasers. For health it is better not to breathe it. MetaQuip therefore supplies all its fiber lasers including industrial air extraction. In addition to preventing possible health problems, the extraction also prevents these (electrically conductive) dust particles from polluting your fiber laser, which benefits the life of the machine.

Applications & materials

Fiber lasers are widely used in the manufacturing industry for marking parts or products. Easy placement of logos, type numbers, QR and barcodes. We also see many applications in the creative industry, such as jewelers, but also for personalizing promotional gifts or smartphones.

Air extraction and filtering

MetaQuip fiber lasers are supplied with an industrial air filter as standard, so that (metal) dust, vapor and gas is immediately extracted and cleaned. Laser engraving of metals releases small metal particles that must be properly extracted and purified so that the operator can never get these (harmful) particles into the lungs. We stand for machines with which you can work safely, without health risks. The use of good air extraction is recommended at all times! These air filters meet the set guidelines.

CE certification & laser safety

The open fiber lasers are class 4 laser devices. This means that in principle the operator and everyone in the same room is exposed to high power laser light. For this additional protection measures must be taken, such as mandatory wearing of certified laser safety goggles to protect the eyes. MetaQuip only supplies laser safety glasses from renowned brands that meet European safety standards in all areas. However, this does not exclude that no one can be exposed to laser light. To this end, additional laser safety measures must also be taken for the environment in which the open fiber laser is placed. Open fiber lasers by definition do not comply with the CE machine guidelines without these extra safety measures. MetaQuip can advise and support you in the implementation of additional laser safety measures required

Delivery, installation & training

Please inquire about the current stock. If this machine is not in stock, the delivery time is between 10-12 weeks. Faster is possible at an additional cost (delivery time 5-8 weeks). This machine can be picked up (for free) or delivered for a fixed rate, installed on site and you will receive basic training on how to work with the machine.

Guarantee

2 year guarantee on the machine, 50,000 hours on the laser source (expected lifetime 50,000 to 100,000 hours, depending on the conditions under which the machine is used).
