Description
Portal laser machines for cutting and engraving large workpieces
A portal laser machine is a CO2 laser machine especially for large workpieces. MetaQuip portal laser machines are available in the following workbed dimensions:
- 130 x 250 cm
- 160 x 250 cm
- 150 x 300 cm
These machines do not have a valve like the closed CO2 laser machines, so extra attention must be paid to laser safety.
Laser cutting or laser engraving of wood, textiles, glass and plastics
Portal Lasers are easy to operate and have extensive options for a large number of materials to cut and engrave with high precision, such as wood, leather, textile, glass and a large number of plastics. MetaQuip portal lasers have an automatically height-adjustable work bed so that the machine sets the correct focus height with the push of a button, immediately ready to start.

Our latest flatbed CO2 laser cutting machines are designed to offer large size, high speed, high precision and high automation.
Industry leading mechanical, optical systems and control systems ensure the high speed and stability of MetaQuip's gantry laser cutting machines. Rack and pinion drive and servo motors ensure precise movements with an acceleration of up to 8000mm/s2. We have both open bed versions and fully closed machines.
Various working formats are available that can effectively meet the processing needs of various industries and specifications. We can also customize the cutting size to meet specific production needs.
Depending on the industry and processing requirements, CO2 DC glass piston or RF metal laser tubes are optional. Our flatbed CO2 laser cutting machines can be equipped with 80 watts, 130 watts, 150 watts, 200 watts, 300 watts, 600 watts, 800 watts and even a powerful CO2 laser.

MetaQuip supplies its higher power CO2 portal lasers (above 150W) with a combination source. This is a laser source in which two glass laser tubes are combined in a housing into a laser beam. MetaQuip uses patented technology here, making the source very stable and giving a 24-month warranty without any problem.
We do not recommend cutting with 150W at maximum, as this has a very negative effect on the life of the laser tube, so that the laser tube will have to be replaced much more often: higher maintenance costs and more downtime.
The use of a single high-power glass tube (200W) has the same adverse effects and is mainly carried by B brands because of the lower production prices.
MetaQuip supplies high power CO2 combi laser sources up to 350W.

Easy to use software
These machines come standard with easy-to-use laser software (Windows). This allows you to design simple texts and simple cutting patterns for subsequent laser cutting or engraving. This laser software also has functionality for the advanced user. More complex cut pattern designs can be easily imported from graphic vector design programs such as Adobe Illustrator (eg ai format) or mechanical design packages (eg dxf format). Images (including jpeg, png, gif) for engraving are easy to import.

Included as standard
A MetaQuip portal laser comes with a industrial air extraction to remove vapor and dust that is released during laser welding. Air compressor which ensures that lens and laser head stays clean as long as possible and industrial water cooler which ensures that the laser tube remains cooled during the laser process. The only thing you have to take care of is a place for the machine, 230VAC socket and an air exhaust duct (100mm).

If this machine is not in stock, the delivery time is normally between 8-12 weeks. Inquire about the current stock. Faster is possible at additional costs. This machine can be picked up (free) or delivered for a flat rate, installed on site and you will receive basic training on how to operate the machine.

MetaQuip CO2 portal laser machines are perfectly suitable for laser cutting large pieces of leather, textile, plastic and wood. We also have these portal lasers with extra high laser powers.
