Wooden box laser engraving with a CO2 laser machine. This is a wooden box in the shape of a heart. These boxes are sold at the action to store things (jewelry for the children) or to paint or decorate.

Roadmap

The drawing was made by my daughter who was inspired by Jill, for the real connoisseurs ;-) I scanned this and traced it with Adobe Illustrator to create a vector drawing. These entered as a cutting pattern in the laser and "cut" on the lid with very light laser power. This creates an engraved image on the box.

In this case, a 60W MQ6040 machine used, but every CO2 laser engraving machine would have been suitable for this job.
